Every time I see Simone Brown, she makes me laugh. Sometimes I don’t always know why she is laughing or what she is laughing about, but her laugh is contagious and she always makes me smile. You can always spot Simone by her Beats, whether they be silver, pink, orange, black, or any other color of the rainbow. Fun Fact: Simone is secretly the best singer on the team!
Audrey Rettstatt is one of the sweetest girls I know. She always has a smile on her face. Her and I share a love of ice cream, especially peanut butter and chocolate combinations. Whenever I have a craving for some ice cream, I know she’ll always be there to indulge with me. If you see Audrey around campus, I’m sure you can spot her by her super cute outfit ensembles. If only her and I were the same size! Fun Fact: Audrey doesn’t like milk or bananas because of the texture!
Moriah Begin is so sweet. She is probably the easiest person to get along with, because she can have fun with anyone. Don’t let her sweet smile fool you though, because she is a fierce competitor on the court! Fun Fact: Mo is secretly an awesome rapper! Her and Jas are always coming up with new raps. I’m sure her rap skills will make for some fun memories this year!
Jaitesha Hanson is also super sweet. She has such a fun personality, and you can see it though what she wears. She brings some fun to practice every day by always wearing some brightly colored socks: pink, striped, tie-dyed, zebra, etc. Fun Fact: Tesh is secretly the best dancer on the team! Not all of us have gotten to see it yet, but hopefully she’ll be able to teach some of us who don’t have as much rhythm!
Emily Stotmeister has a contagious smile. She is always encouraging on and off the court. Whenever you see her, you can count on a hug. She just has such a positive look at everything! Fun Fact: Emily is a crazy sport fanatic! She is one of those football fans that paint their faces, make shirts, and is the loudest one in the front row! She is definitely the most hyped about our first game!
Mickayla Sanders, Mi-kaykay, or M-sizzle is just awesome. You’ll always end up laughing and having fun when you’re with her. Scaremare taught me very quickly that she gets scared VERY easily, but it made for a fun night! I am sure we will have fun messing with and scaring her throughout the season. You can spot her on campus by the family-sized box of fruit loops she carries everywhere. Random Fact about Mickayla and I: We cannot give each other high fives. Most of the time we miss each other’s hands, but we’re working on it! Fun Fact: Mickayla absolutely loves the movie The Lion King!
All of these girls are awesome and they all make our team better. I am so excited for all the memories, laughs, bus rides, and pictures we’ll share during this season, and I am so excited for you all to see them in action on the court!
